The goal of this build was to stay true to the great style these cars had from the factory, but give it some class and attitude. All the body mods made were done to greatly improve fit and flow, but not change the profile, so we tucked bumpers, reshaped the running boards, custom dual taillight mounts, and made other subtle body’s mods. Then the exterior was finished off with a deep blue finish, smoked glass, and some killer Detroit Steel Wheel wheels to which we custom fabbed the Oldsmobile center caps to resemble the look of the originals. And the car sits on a Ridetech air ride system for extra attitude and a killer stance.
Under hood the 383 small block Chevy is dressed to look like an Oldsmobile engine and topped with FiTech Fuel Injection. Be Cool, Inc. made a custom radiator to keep the engine cool and the driver stays cool as well with Vintage Air, Inc. A/C.
The interior was done in some classy dark leather and the dash panels were re-woodgrained by Michigan HydroGraphics Company LLC. And as usual we turned to American Autowire for a complete wiring system.
Stilson Sign and Custom laid down some pinstripe work that can be found throughout the exterior and interior of this hot rod, like the hubcaps, shift knob, handles, and much more. He also made a cool showboard to go with the car to shows.
